About me

Product designer with a textile designer's eye for pattern and detail.

Mona Sweeney

From textiles to UX

I started out in textile design, spending five years creating prints and patterns for homewares and kitchen textiles. It taught me to think in systems: repeats, colourways, and how a design holds up once it's made and used every day.

That eye for pattern and detail carried straight into UX. Today I design complex digital products in the food industry, where the people using our tools manage compliance, quality and supply chains, so getting the details right really matters.

I care about making complicated work feel simple, building design systems that scale, and working closely with developers to get it right in code. Building this site myself is part of that.
